Nikon SLM Solutions was honored to be on site to experience the grand opening of AMEXCI’s new state-of-the-art additive manufacturing (AM) facility in Örebro, Sweden. Being part of this milestone firsthand underscored the significance of the moment—a major leap forward for industrial metal AM in Scandinavia and a reflection of our shared commitment to advancing the future of digital manufacturing.

The event was more than a typical ribbon-cutting. AMEXCI rolled out the red carpet for a select group of guests, welcoming them into an environment that was both intimate and open despite the presence of high-profile figures. Industry leaders, stakeholders, and innovators gathered to witness the unveiling of a facility designed with foresight. It is equipped with cutting-edge technology like the NXG XII 600  and thoughtfully constructed to allow for future expansion.

The highlight of the inauguration came as Marcus Wallenberg, one of Sweden’s most prominent industrialists, officially opened the facility. His involvement, alongside backing from industrial powerhouses such as FAM, Saab, Ericsson, and Scania Group, underscored the strategic importance of this initiative to Sweden’s manufacturing landscape.

Under the leadership of CEO Edvin Resebo, AMEXCI is rapidly scaling its capabilities, moving beyond metal AM prototyping to prepare for full supply chain integration.
