The company will meet growing demands from the automotive and aerospace industries for additively manufactured parts in serial production.
Ilz, Austria – 7 March 2022. Today, additive manufacturing (AM) pioneer, SLM Solutions Group AG (“SLM Solutions,” “SLM” or the “Company”) and manufacturing service provider M&H CNC GmbH (“M&H”) are jointly announcing the strengthening of their partnership with M&H’s purchase of two SLM®280 2.0 Twin 700W machines. The additional machines will allow M&H to further expand its product offerings and capacity which is required to meet the growing demand from its national and international customer base.
Trailblazers in AM parts for the motorsports, Formula 1 racing, and aerospace industries, M&H leverages its CNC experience and advanced knowledge of AM technology to become a comprehensive solutions provider within Austria, Europe, and beyond. The company is a recognized innovation partner to its industrial customers, successfully delivering services from prototyping to series production of finished machined components.
Patrick Herzig, CEO of M&H, stated: “Our medium-term goal is to position ourselves as an innovative 3D printing supplier in Central Europe. With the targeted expansion of our machine park, we can further expand our competence. With the two new SLM Solutions machines, we will be able, in particular, to produce metal parts and prototypes in medium to high volumes even more effectively and precisely. We can serve more materials within the shortest possible time thanks to the new machines. The recent very high demand for our 3D printing services has made the purchase inevitable.”
Bart Leferink, VP of Sales EMEA for SLM Solutions, comments on the competitive advantages of the SLM®280 2.0 Twin: “Being in the market for more than five years, the SLM®280 2.0 has proven a reliable partner for service bureaus globally thanks to its outstanding productivity and reliability as well as the possibility to perform a material change in less than two hours. Thanks to its 700W laser power, it can process almost any material in the market. We are excited to see what new applications M&H will print on those workhorse machines.”
Currently, M&H’s state-of-the-art printing facility in Ilz, Austria, already has one SLM®280 and one SLM®500 installed. Along with a recent single-digit million investment by the international Kilger Group, the additional machines position M&H as the leading one-stop-shop for innovative product printing and development in the DACH region and beyond.
