NEW ASME/API CLAMP CONNECTORS WITH NIKON SLM TECHNOLOGY

Galperti has embraced additive manufacturing (AM) to enhance its clamp connector production, leveraging Nikon SLM Solutions’ metal 3D printing technology. With the purchase of an SLM®280 machine in 2020 and support from Nikon SLM’s application engineering team, Galperti evaluated various business cases to qualify API 20S and ASME-compliant clamp connectors. These new AM-produced connectors, made from ASTM F3056-14 UNS N06625 (Inconel 625), are fully interchangeable with legacy products. By adopting this advanced technology, Galperti has achieved lead time reductions of up to 80% for special alloy parts, enabling on-demand production while eliminating the need for excess inventory.
