Need Metal AM Expertise for Scaling Production? Meet Meike Husmann

With nearly a decade of experience in laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF), Meike Husmann helps customers unlock the full potential of additive manufacturing for industrial production. At Nikon SLM Solutions, she plays a key role as an Application Engineer, supporting the Denmark region and specializing in the industrialization of our NXG machine series.

Meike first encountered L-PBF technology in 2016 during a university visit to SLM Solutions—and was immediately fascinated. She began her career in R&D, completing her bachelor’s thesis in Future Technologies and later working in development engineering before joining the Application Engineering Team in 2022. Today, she bridges the gap between product development and real-world application, ensuring a smooth transfer of new systems and innovations into customer environments.

Even after years in the field, Meike’s passion for additive manufacturing remains strong. Watching the machines in action, she says, still feels a bit like “being a kid watching cookies bake in the oven.”

You can connect with Meike at major industry events—or reach out directly to benefit from her technical expertise and deep enthusiasm for advancing metal AM.
